Lesotho: The Rise of Textile Industry

Textile Industry In Lesotho

Lesotho is a landlocked country being separated from South Africa. It comes in Commonwealth of Nations, although it has a promising future ahead in multiple industries. One of the industries that are expected to get great growth is Textile industry of Lesotho.

The basic path through which the Textile Industry has gone is as follows:

It had the inception when in early 1980s South Africa wanted to avoid sanction imposed on it. The United States and Europe had reservations on the good manufactured by them. This led to open opportunity for Lesotho to come in front for better economic growth. For that Lesotho provided incentives to African Industrialists. Industries from Taiwan also saw the opportunity and invested in the market.

In order to facilitate growth of this industry in Lesotho, trainings with co-financing happened. The import of international standard machinery has aid in production of quality goods. The experts from different markets came to make the local people prepared to work on global standards. This along with a number of other things contributed in building a good will of this market in global front. The good reputation gave break to more foreign investment in the country, boosting economy to a new level.

For maintenance of quality, the labor plays an integral role in the process. As the multinationals were able to produce quality goods in cheap prices, a small amount of money could easily be invested in giving awareness about the healthcare issues. The top of the line health related issues were addressed including HIV and AIDS. Hence it not only provided employment opportunity but also supported the health sector.

The chances are that due to the boom in overall online business, developing countries including Lesotho will get greater opportunity to prove its metal through quality products in low cost.

Namibia Stance on Ukraine

Namibia Stance on Ukraine in United Nations

Namibia is a country with strong stance on Ukraine. The country geographically stands between Angola and Zambia, near to Botswana and South Africa. It was part of South Africa till 1990, though the smell of independence was experienced after Namibian War of Independence.

United Nation Security Council has fifteen members out of which the permanent five member countries are China, France, Russian Federation, United Kingdom and United States. The non-permanent members are elected by General Assembly for tenure of two years and compose of 10 elected members.

Namibia was elected as a member in 1999 to 2000 tenure of 2 years. Though the country still has a unique position and stood with 58 other countries as a no participator to voting process on the issue of Ukraine. The minister of foreign affairs, Netumbo Nandi Ndaitwah, was the representative on behalf of Namibia. She said that voting is not the solution; rather a permanent solution should be identified.

She made it clear to United Nations that Namibia believes in democracy and under the value of democracy the forceful change of government is against the constitutional philosophy of the country. Hence things should be streamlined in Ukraine in a law abiding way.

Talking about the global stance on Ukraine, 100 votes were caste in favor of forceful change of government saying that United Nation intervention is necessary to restore peace, while 11 voted against. Russia on the other hand has strong stance on Crimean saying that the new government is illegitimately in power. And what the Pro-Russian forces are doing is fully justified.

The forces have seized government buildings and have complete control on military bases. Something that Namibia has experienced in a different way; makes Namibia feel the pain for Ukrainian people.

The time will tell, that situation will go in which direction, though Namibia has voiced its opinion for good.

Namibia Unemployment: Past Analysis

Unemployment Increase Namibia

Namibia celebrated its 24th year of political independence. It is basically a secular country believing in God but not taking religion to a level where differences occur. It is a country based on modern success philosophy but because of being too young to be independent; it has to fight for its development.
The unemployment is one of those issues which have been increasing with advancing years. The trend is astonishingly different from expectation. The present rate of unemployment in primary and secondary passed population is high as compare to past with no formal education at all. It has been identified that the reason behind the least employment in past is as follows:

Economic Activities

The people in the past were involved in activities that generated economic benefit. The research show that people were previously involved agricultural activities like farming. They were able to make their end meet without depending on others. Rather they were involved in contributing to society in general.  Today people study and many of them expect to get employment that has resulted in more people and less vacancies.  The chances are that if people are not encouraged to economic activities, the chances are that in next 50 years things will get worst, as importation of good that are made in country will happen, causing more burden to economy in future years.

On Job Training

Previously there was a greater concept of on job training, as companies expected retention of old employees a must as compare to acquiring new one. It was also because of the fact that there were less qualified people around with job market open.
Today we see people looking for job more often than in previous years, leading to the availability of experienced and in-experienced people in close proportion. This had made the market tough for those fresh out of school. On the other hand those who leave job before finding other one, have difficulty in finding new job. Though such type of people are rare in market, but in order to make ends meet when they come at low salary, the market value of labor diminishes.

Hence strategies need to be made by authorities of Namibia to make situations get in control. But for that the first step is the most complicated one, as making processes Black and White is required. This will expose many politically famous faces that are currently hidden from masses

Myanmar: NGOs Endanger This Time

Myanmar INGOs endanger

Myanmar has been in news a year before, in the same month of March. It was 2013 that riots broke in Central Burma, when a Buddhist movement happened against the influx of Islam in Burma. In response Muslims burned and killed many people, notably the Buddhist monk who was brutally murdered.

This time in March 2014, it’s the call for staff at international NGOs ad United Nations. The Embassy of United State is concerned seriously for the targeting done on homes and offices of the people. Multiple properties have been destroyed, and the security conditions seem out of control.
It is truly believed that now its high time for government bodies to take action against these extremists. Or else this world that is a global home, being the village having people of diverse ethnic background, religion and believes will be affected. It is also a wake up call for United Nations and other peace functioning organizations to play a strong role.

Although the Humanitarians are positive that the situation will be control, but at this moment it does not seems so. Those who are playing a positive role in making people in Myanmar better off, by monetary and non-monetary support have life threat. This will not only stain the image of Myanmar in the eyes of world, but will bring huge damages in long run.

It is high time to make necessary changes, as if proper steps are not taken, the Myanmar will have its co-lateral relations damaged. The result will be haunted; starting from closing of doors to international market. This developing country will have lowest international investment, although currently it is at the position of being the lowest in terms of Human Development Index. Not only this, the internal restlessness will further weaken the economy from inside.

It’s a Do or Die moment, which needs consideration from those who rule the country specially.

The Role of Auto Expo in Growth of Mozambique

Japanese Used Cars

There a number of companies organizing auto expo in different developed countries. They give the opportunity to automobile manufacturers to showcase their brand new models. We see in history that such types of exhibitions are given high regards and are the source of infotainment for cars lover from across globe.

In developing countries the trend is low, although the expected event of automobile exhibition is soon to come. The news is that in Tanzania, the neighbor of Mozambique has one of its kinds show being organized.
It will be a great step towards the development of Mozambique a country trying hard to carve its niche. It will be a platform that in long run will give following advantages.

Infrastructure Boost

In an indirect way the infrastructure will boost, as people from Mozambique will have to invest low cost to see world class vehicles from different parts of the world. They will get exposure to latest vehicle including truck, cars, tractors and much more. It will aid in development of roads, factories, hospital, malls and things that will support the economy in long run.
The rich people of Mozambique will be able to see sedans, wagons and luxury vehicles that will act as an image booster for them. Who knows, maybe tomorrow the world automotive giants plan to invest in the country?

Global Recognition

Especially in developed countries, the awareness about Mozambique is not high. So here is the opportunity for businesses to get into global network to make business relations with global customers. The tourism will be promoted, as people visiting Tanzania for show can plan to visit the neighboring countries. The chances are that even if the tourist does not visit in May, the event month, they can plan to visit after few months.

So here is the opportunity for Mozambique to devise strategies that will be fruitful in long run. Are you ready to cash the opportunity?
